12 Days to Uganda and Tanzania
In this safari a combination of the best of Uganda and the best of Northern
Tanzania is made especially for who may choose these African countries as
a holiday and safari destination. This journey will take you to the fine
Ugandan National Parks, that is to say, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls,
also having a gorilla safari in bwindi impenetrable forest. You therefore
proceed to Tanzania for game drive in Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. You may
also decide to extend the holiday by booking your beach vacation in Zanzibar.
Flights connections between Uganda and Tanzania can also be arranged for
you.
Day 1 – Arrival Entebbe - Uganda
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport our company representative will
meet you and thus transfer you to your hotel. Thus Speke Hotel, Sheraton
hotel or Holiday express.
Day 2 - The marvelous Murchison Falls on the Nile
After breakfast, leave Kampala driving northwest you will have a brief stopover
at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see the endangered rhinos in the wild and enjoy
walking in the forest. You have Lunch en route and proceed to Murchison
Falls National Park, the largest protected area in Uganda with approximately
3.840 sq Kms, named after the falls in the river Nile. You reach and have
a brief stop at the “top of the falls”, where you can see from
above the Nile’s perfected beauty and marvel as it compresses and
squeezes itself from over 1 kilometer wide down through a seven meter canyon.
The 43 meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful
rainbow in a plume of spray – the best of the Nile River. Check in
and have dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Red Chilli Rest Camp.

Day 3 - The boat cruise on the river Nile
After an early breakfast, drive to the Northern part of the park for a game
drive to view and take photographs of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes,
Uganda kobs, lions, if you are lucky the leopards, plus a variety of bird
species. After lunch, proceed for a boat cruise to the bottom of the beautiful
Murchison falls from where mighty waters escape through the narrow gorge
forming a great thunder. This is an opportunity to see the amazing hippos,
crocodiles along the riverbanks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Fort Portal on the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon
After an early breakfast drive from Murchison Falls NP heading Southwest
via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. Drive through
Hoima and reach the colorful town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro
kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,”
the Rwenzori. Have lunch. The day journey is long, as it takes about 7-8
hours drive in the afternoon you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park
for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Hostel.
Day 5 - Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Pearl of Uganda
Take an early morning cup of coffee before setting off for an early game
drive along Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park and expect
to see game like, lions, elephants, buffalos, warthogs and lots of animals
and birds. Get back to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, enjoy the
launch trip on Kazinga Channel for amazing bird life and a variety of
wild life. Return back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight. FB
Day 6 - The habituated chimpanzees of Kyambura Gorge
After an early cup of coffee, drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk
to look for the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. This gorge
is 16 km long on the Rift Valley and 100 meter deep. The rangers will
provide you with a walking stick for this beautiful trekking. After primate
walk, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Maramagambo and
Ishasha sector of the Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort –
Nkuringo Safari Lodge or Buhoma Community Kisoro Tourist Hotel. FB
Day 7 - The magic encounter with the mountains gorillas
After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, set off for the
mountains gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry
drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide
you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities
you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After tracking,
make a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling
hills with terraced landscape. An area commonly known as the as the "Switzerland
of Africa” you will check in and have dinner and overnight on the
Lake Bunyonyi at Arcadia Cottages or Habuharo. FB
Day 8 - The fabulous scenery of Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, head for an early boat ride inside Lake Bunyonyi
to various islands inside the lake for bird viewing, sight seeing and
discovering the sites of the Bakiga culture. Drive back to Kampala having
a brief stopover at the Uganda equator for lunch and photography. You
will reach Kampala late evening therefore you will have dinner and overnight
at Sheraton hotel Or Acacia lodge. FB
Day 9 – Departure to Arusha
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Arusha.
You will check in and have Dinner and overnight at Impala Hotel or similar.

Day 10 –Arusha / Lake Manyara
After breakfast an early breakfast leave Arusha and visit Lake Manyara
National Park for an afternoon game drive, heading on to your Hotel at
dusk you will have dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel, Jambo Campsite
or similar. FB
Day 11 – Ngorongoro
After breakfast, transfer to Olduvai Gorge the Cradle of Mankind and check
in at your Hotel / Lodge on the Crater rim for lunch. Visit the crater
for half day / afternoon crater tour returning at dusk for dinner and
overnight at Octagon Lodge or Simba Campsite. FB
Day 12 - Ngorongoro / Arusha / Zanzibar
Leave the Ngorongoro Highlands and transfer back to Arusha for a flight
to Zanzibar or for the international flight back home. It should be noted
that accommodation in Zanzibar will be arranged separately depending on
the number of days is requested.
